recently reread an interesting work of Martin O'Neill and Adrian Palmer questioning most of his studies on the perceived quality of service and satisfaction. The two researchers analyzed in "Survey timing and consumer perceptions of service quality: an overview of empirical evidence" the effects of the passage of time on the results of several studies on the perception of quality. Conceptualization service quality, its relationship with satisfaction, and measurement methods of the latter were the focus of studies on services in the past 15 years. (Gabbott and Hogg, 1997) The quality of a service is considered essential for effective positioning in the market (Brown and Swartz, 1989, Parasuraman et al., 1988), particularly in the service industry (Berry et al. , 1985, p.44) Traditionally, the quality of service is defined and measured as the difference between individual expectations and perceptions during and after the use of the service. Over the years, this model, known as the pattern of denial, has suffered several attacks. In particular the impact of the timing of the different questionnaires are administered on the evaluation of the service has been completely ignored. Referring to the allegations of Minnie Louie Johnson Abercrombie (1967) about the instability of perceptions over time, the authors attempt to provide answers to this question in their study. There are huge individual differences in the perception of the passage of time (Krech et al., 1969). Even at the cost of distorting any contradictory information. Douglas R. Hausknecht et al., 1998 argue that the reduction of cognitive dissonance is a necessary condition for the need of satisfaction. In recent years, numerous studies have shown that the effects of satisfaction tend to subside over time (Mazursky and Geva, 1999). Here the authors derive the hypothesis that the perception of service received the go with various time, differently from individual to individual. hypothesis that is precisely confirmed in this survey, whose results show a strong downward trend with positive perceptions over time. Of particular interest is also demonstrated this trend variability according to the different dimensions of quality measured. The marketing manager should therefore be concerned in particular the perception of its customers at the time when they are located to make a purchase applicant, or when providing a recommendation rather than understand the situation immediately after purchase. Famous People Who Get Personality Disorder
Let You Go, You or Fire??
Back to the good old justice.
Here two different ways, actually taken from various companies to communicate the removal of its chief executive officer from office.
English is a must to keep the original text, from which they were removed names and real places in favor of fictitious entities.
In the first case, the dismissal took place without notice, with both employment and removal of PC workstation access permissions in real and virtual company. In the second, things went quite differently.
---------------------------------
It is with regret I advise You That Ploni Almoni is no longer contracted by XXXXXX to represent the Xxxxx Market with effect from yesterday. I would like to take this opportunity of thanking Ploni for his professionalism and support since the XXXXXX acquisition. Meanwhile we are 100% committed to continue growing the business and supporting our existing customers in Utopia. There are no hidden agendas here. We bought XXXXXX to further grow the business profitably. I will be in Utopia on Monday to meet with our staff to agree the way forward and to prioritise our efforts to find Ploni’s replacement.
Joe.
---------------------------------
Dear Madam, Dear Mister,
It is with mixed emotions that I would like to inform you that Ploni Almoni, XXXXX’s CEO, has decided to leave XXXXX to pursue new adventures.
The context of this change is the following:
XXXXX’s objective is now to move from a “small” entrepreneurial type of business to a larger business. Indeed XXXXX’s business is growing fast:
o In Australia, 70% of the WOZ terminals now going on the field include XXXXX’s technology, supporting about 250 different Value Added Services products across 18 categories (Mobile top-ups, Gift cards, Loyalty programs, attraction tickets, tolling, health programs,…).
o In EMEA and in the US, XXXXX is already implemented in few places and has very advanced discussions with many additional players. XXXXX hopes and anticipates to sign additional agreements in these regions during the Almoni of 2008. This will boost XXXXX’s revenue in these regions and contribute to XXXXX’s overall growth and XXXXX’s international expansion objective
So XXXXX now reaches a stage where it needs to structure itself and implement the right organization and processes to support this growth.
Ploni Almoni is an extraordinary entrepreneur. What has been achieved at XXXXX up to now is largely due to Ploni’s vision, energy and entrepreneurial skills combined with strong human values.
The Board and Ploni Almoni made the decision that Ploni is not the right person to lead the company further as XXXXX grows from a small to larger business.
The Board, together with input from Ploni and many others has put together a plan for growth. It is now the role of Zyzzy Zyzzyryxy (acting CEO) and John Melbrooksl (COO) to carry it forward.
Zyzzy Zyzzyryxy is one of the founders of XXXXX, member of the board for some years and was co-operating XXXXX with Ploni till now. So that’s a smooth transition.
John Melbrooksl is our COO. He recently joined XXXXX early 2008. He has extensive experience in managing international large delivery organizations according to his last WOZitions in consulting firms like ITM. John is charged with putting into place processes and structures which will stand XXXXX in good stead to deliver now and in the future.
This modification in XXXXX’s organization is intended to support further XXXXX’s international expansion in a very structured way.
The smooth transition plan which is in place can only have WOZitive impacts on what XXXXX currently tries to achieve with its current customers and prospects in the fields of drastically simplifying and reducing costs of operating fleets of WOZ terminals and of providing large varieties of Value Added Services products portable across many different types of WOZ terminals.
I will be more than happy to introduce you to Zyzzy and or John when they will come to ……. or if you come to visit us in ,…,…..
I am looking forward to our collaboration.
Best regards.

Pokemon Doujins Ash And Dawn
Manager, Leader? The Awakening of the Dragon
A friend of mine, Mark Sittoni told me a few weeks ago this joke: "What is the difference which exists between managers and leaders? A manager does things right. A leader does the right thing! "
Manager and leading to confrontation.
In his article "Turning managers into leaders at Heinz, Anthony Landale examines the difficult relationship between managers and employees at the Heinz, and its potentially disastrous consequences for the performance.
Many employees complain of how managers often slow down the work considerably reducing the performance of employees. According to Landale
the cause of the problem can be identified in the predominant role in monitoring the work done by hired managers.
Today the pace of work to be undergone by the Heinz employees (but not only ...) are becoming increasingly tight. It requires them to work harder and harder and more effectively, under the command and constant monitoring of managers. This produces workers frustrated, demoralized and exhausted.
Landale says that from a managerial model to a model based on leadership can counteract these effects, improving business performance without affecting the employees.
A good leader does not make use of discipline and control. It inspires
is treating its employees, motivating them with a strong empowerment that allows them to manage their own work.
Unlike the leader, confident in his vision, the manager needs to constantly affirm its hierarchical position, which is often translated obsessively in control. To create a working environment more efficient and less frustrating, you must instead learn to redistribute responsibility and encourage people to bring their own ideas in the workplace, supporting the ambitions of most of the staff.
In 2004, in the English sales division of Heinz introduced a leadership and empowerment program aimed at moving from the classic control model to a model of responsibility and self-management.
Colin Reeve, R & A managing director (who has worked with Heinz to implement the change process) summarizes the experience stressing the importance of alignment between theoretical discourse and practice in the company and lists those that it considers the five key dimensions for high performance:
• Clarity, encouragement and recruitment of leaders
• Auto-run, motivated staff
• A team with good interpersonal relations
• A strong sense of purpose and a passion for their work
• A positive and creative work environment.
choices vital to an organization .
In his article, "Tough choices for tough times "Orit Gadiesh focuses on the difficult choices the company faces, considering the fact that the environment that surrounds it is uncertain and rapidly changing.
In this context becomes vital for the company to establish what risk it is willing to tolerate failure.
Gadiesh identifies three questions on which attention must put their CEOs:
1. What are the correct "bets" (BETS) in innovation? What innovations should focus on the company.
2. What is the best way to make the company the necessary skills? This question requires you to identify the core business and to discern between capacity and expertise to this vital.
3. How to ask in relation to China? Every global company can not decide how to approach and penetrate the Chinese market, where the number of middle-class families, it is assumed to triple in 2010 and whose spending exceeds $ 500 million.
To answer these questions and make the right decision, Gadiesh within the company aims to create a "distributed leadership". This requires the presence of a leader at every level of the organization that is able to indicate the direction to take, and how follow the path chosen in the best way ......
